Without a doubt, many pets simply ignore whatever\u2019s growing in pots but that doesn\u2019t mean they should be potentially exposed to toxic plants.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bowmanvet.com\/blog\/its-time-to-make-halloween-pet-safety-a-priority\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Preventing a pet poisoning is a year round priority<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. As such, the following toxic houseplants should never be brought home:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Aloe vera<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Devil\u2019s ivy (pothos)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dracaena (corn plant)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jade<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sago palm<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dieffenbachia<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Philodendron<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Asparagus fern<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sansevieria (mother-in-law\u2019s tongue)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Poinsettia<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All varieties of lily plants<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rubber tree plant<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Weeping fig tree<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Desert rose<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Elephant ear (caladium)<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ZZ plant<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Luckily, there are many safe choices at the garden center, such as Boston fern, spider plant, bamboo, echeveria, haworthia, areca palm and more.
