Even if your pet has been indoors after contact with ticks, tick nymphs can mature days later. Be on tick patrol every day during tick season.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to Inspect Your Pet for Ticks<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To keep your pets healthy during tick season, you\u2019ll need to check them every day. Run your fingers slowly through your pet\u2019s coat. While your pet appreciates this special attention, you are searching for even the smallest bump. Ticks can be so tiny you will miss them, but once they\u2019re feeding, they will plump up. Be thorough in the examination of your pet\u2019s coat. If you feel a bump of any size, part the fur to expose the skin.
